The ICF wall looks more expensive at first glance because it is one line item instead of several. That single assembly is the structure, the air barrier, the insulation and the vapour barrier all at once. A conventional wall reaches the same code requirements by adding those scopes separately — framing, insulation, strapping, air sealing and vapour control, each with its own material, labour and trade. Add all of those up and the totals are very similar.

Where the two diverge is afterwards: lower operating cost every year and a longer service life. We will give you our honest read on your specific project rather than a generic payback figure.

Send us plans — or a dimensioned sketch for smaller jobs — and we will return a complete material list and a delivered price at no charge. If you also want installation, we will quote that separately so you can see both numbers clearly.

Approximately R-23+ wall performance depending on the assembly. The more useful point is that the insulation is continuous — there are no studs bridging through it — so the effective performance of the wall stays much closer to its nominal rating than a framed wall does.

It is arguably where the system makes the most sense. Continuous insulation, very low air leakage and thermal mass all matter more as the temperature difference across the wall increases. Buildings hold temperature far longer through a cold snap or a power outage.

Yes, with the appropriate cold weather concrete practices — and the forms themselves help, since the insulation stays in place around the curing concrete rather than being stripped away. We will talk through the specific conditions and schedule for your pour.

The web ties inside the block provide fastening points at regular spacing, so drywall, cabinets and trim screw directly to the wall. Services are chased into the interior foam face before finishing.

Essentially any cladding: stucco, stone, brick on a brick-ledge block, siding, or panel systems. The attachment method differs from framing but the finish options do not.

ICF assemblies are compatible with both. Reaching those standards still depends on windows, mechanical systems and overall design — but the wall will not be the limiting factor.

Yes. Supply-only is a large part of what we do. You get the take-off, the material, the accessories and technical support by phone. For crews new to ICF we can also arrange on-site coaching for the first lifts and pour.

Regularly. We supply and install for other contractors’ projects all the time — we place the walls and hand the structure back for framing and finishing.

Yes. We do architectural design and drafting in house, which means the plan is drawn for ICF from the start rather than converted afterwards. We can also review an existing plan set for ICF suitability.
